“CALIFORNIA DREAMIN’” @ THE MET

Date: February 23, 2012

“CALIFORNIA DREAMIN’” OPENS FEBRUARY 10th AT THE MET THEATRE; WORLD PREMIERE

“California Dreamin’,”
a new play, explores the events leading up to the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders and their aftermath. It suggests the friendship between Charles Manson and coffee heiress and murder victim Abigail Folger, a relationship denied by official accounts of the incident and further suggests a calculated cover-up to shield the dead woman’s reputation. The meticulously researched narrative is written by Jill Charlotte Thomas and directed by L. Flint Esquerra. Paul Koslo and Gabrieal Griego produce for the MET Theatre.

Director L. Flint Esquerra is the MET’s longtime artistic director. Among his many credits there are the critically acclaimed productions of “On Holy Ground,” “Head: The Brain That Wouldn’t Die Musical,””Heydrich/Hitler/Holocaust,” “The Bones of Lesser Men,” and much more.
